Following the devastation of Hurricane Sandy, the bar community pulled together in an impressive show of inspiration and camaraderie to help support those affected. Ward III and its principals were instrumental in assisting the organization and curation of the event, providing outreach support, lending resources and coordinating the charitable donations.
The entire event was conceptualized, organized and executed in less than a week and a half, and at the end of it all the talented group of bartenders succeeded in raising over $45,000, 100% of which was donated. Working alongside friends and colleagues from esteemed establishments like Employees Only, Dram, Death & Co., The Whiskey Brooklyn and more, Ward III was proud to have lent a hand to such a worthy cause.
The Ball received a wide range of media support leading up to and following the event, including Vice, Grub Street, BlackBook, Guest of a Guest and a wrap-up piece by Rosie Schaap on The New York Times’ 6th Floor Blog.
